Summertime

Well, it has been a crazy couple of months. Summertime is definitely in full swing. Brennan finished school and we headed back to Cali to see our friends and family. We had a wonderful visit with my parents, sister, and brother. I got to see my neice Alaina for the first time which was wonderful. Here a couple photos.

We also spent some time with Steve's Aunt, Uncle, and cousins. We attended Steve's cousin Justins' highschool graduation. It was a long day for the kids but they sat patiently through the ceremonies and then expended all their energy wrestling down on the field after the ceremony.

We headed to Disneyland the next week for 5 fun filled days at the park. We had a blast but the days were long and exhausting. The little ones did well but by the end you could tell they needed some serious rest and relaxation.

We are home now and getting back into the swing of things. Keegan has had a hard time re-adjusting. I am really hoping the with a few nights of good sleep his mood will improve. Otherwise, I guess I can assume that this is just a new phase of crankiness that we will just have to live with. Only time will tell! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

It's Been Awhile

So, it has been awhile since I last posted anything. The last month has been pretty crazy. Between work, PTA, and soccer for Brennan I haven't had much spare time. I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel though. My duties as team mom for Brennan's soccer team are complete. We had our end of season party last Thursday and our final game on Sunday. Everything went splendidly. This coming week I have my book club meeting and our last PTA meeting of the year. I finally finished putting together the Historian scrapbook. I will be able to present it Thursday at our meeting. Spring seems to be officially over here in Texas. It was around 90 degrees yesterday and it is supposed to be 90 again today. The boys sent me an early Mother's Day gift of Tulips and Iris's. I was playing with some photoshop actions and textures on the photos I took. So, here they are!

Easter Mini Kit!

Over the past few days I have been having some fun playing around with creating differnt plaid papers and overlays. With Easter approaching soon I thought it would be fun to create some Easter plaid papers. Then I thought, hmmmm some Easter eggs would be cool too! I added a few more elements just for fun. There are 2 separate downloads, one for the elements and one for the papers. I hope that you enjoy it!

He is Growing Up Soooo Fast!

Everytime I look at my little guy lately he looks different to me. He still has his pudgy little cheeks. But he is getting taller and what used to sound like baby talk is no longer. My little guy already has formed definite opinions about what he wears (surprising at this age), his likes and dislikes. Next month he will be 2 1/2. It seems like just yesterday that he was a baby. This scrapbook page I did is a recent photo. He has become quite obsessed about the hat he is wearing. It doesn't seem to matter if it is 70 degrees or not. He wears it everywhere.

Spring!

Things have been crazy busy lately. I haven't had much time to do anything that needs to get done let alone the hobbies I enjoy. Spring is officially a couple days away. We have spent the last few weekends cleaning up the yard and sanding and sealing the playset. The weather had improved but it seems that just in time for spring it will be getting cold again. I am ready for the days where I can sit out on the patio and just take in the day.

Valentine's Day!

We celebrated our Valentine's day a day early. Steve and I went out for a wonderful sushi dinner and movie on Saturday. It was so nice to have a night out without our kiddos. Love the boys but it is always nice to have a break. It is hard for me to believe that we have been married for almost 8 1/2 years. Everyday, I am so thankful for my wonderful husband. I love that I married my best friend, someone who still makes laugh on a daily basis. Love ya, babe!

Valentine's treats

This week I have been working on putting together gift bags for each of the boys Valentine's events at school. I made a bag topper for Brennan's gift bags and was just going to use the same ones for Keegan but change the name on them. Then I thought what kind of mommy would I be if they both had the same ones. They don't take that long to create. So, now they each have their own to give to the kids in their classrooms. They are actually quite fun to make with the exception of cutting them all out to assemble. I wish I had some magic cutting tool that would do that part for me. Oh, well no such luck! Here are some photos of the gift bags. Credits to Pink Peacock Designs for the pink stitched heart on Brennan's bag toppers.

My Latest Project

So,I have to give a big shout out to Amanda at www.kevinandamanda.com. Her blog is linked under the Blogs I Follow. She put together this amazing scrapbook made from left over cardboard. I had been trying to figure out how I was going to scrap Brennan's school photos and sports photos. I can't digi-scrap them because of copyright laws and doing the big scrapbook pages by hand isn't as enjoyable to me anymore. Amanda's idea was perfect for scrapping the kids photos. Here are some photos of the completed project. I really enjoyed this project. It was a fun and a great way to use up some of my scraps from previous projects.

Organizing Update

This is a quick update! I finally finished reorganzing everything. It may not seem like a big change from the pictures but it is so much better now. I can actually find things again without digging.
